Jet Black is one of the two most under rated drummers from the 20th Century that helped to form music as we know it, in my humble and demented opinion. The other was Bill Ward. Both got the Jazz, and both got the Swing.

This is a fascinating read, especially when he goes off on a physics one about the higher the stick, the harder the hit, and the faster the riff, the lighter the hit, kind of stuff.

Hopefully this will make up for all the bad drummer jokes I have posted over the years at Kvr.
