In the musical example I noticed minor pentatonic which based in F is F Ab Bb C Eb; then I noticed what would be G in that case, the 2 or 9. I didn't notice the 6 or Db as your original post depicts, though I may just have missed it. But from what I describe there, for future reference you can enjoy the option of Db or D if you feel a need for more. Db gives Aeolian, D gives Dorian from F basis. Most of what I said you may need to hold in abeyance til later, I may have had a cup of coffee or something.
