I was looking for ways to generate rhythms recently and I came across Euclidean rhythms. Some have claimed it can generate all world music rhythmic patterns, except Indian music. I don't know if that is true or not, but it can be used to create interesting rhythmic patterns quickly. Check out the video if you're interested.

Thanks, I'm glad it helped. IMO they are really helpful when you're trying to come up with new rhythmic parts.
