Hi, is the format of the sampler propriety or is it an open format that some of the sample converter programs can use (ie translator, CDXtract, Awave, etc.) It would be cool to be able to convert libraries of samples I have to/from your format.
Thanks, Sean |

It is a proprietary format but with Paax 2 Pro you can convert from AKP and SF2 into .pax files |

Would you consider adding SF2 export as well? This would take away my fear of getting stuck if you go out of business, or if I decide to change to another sampler. I have the same problem with Sampletank. I bought it, but I can't get my samples out of it. I may look into extreme sample converter though. I'm told that it can convert the sample tank products, however I digress... A real winner in my book would be SF2 export as well, to allow people a migration path later. This, I think, would make people much more comfortable with creating libraries of samples for this sampler, because they know that they can use their libraries even if they do decide to move on later. Either this or opening up your format to the conversion program developers. Would you at least consider it? It would make your sampler the cheapest ground-level sampler that allows an upgrade path and works with nearly everything. Thanks in advance for listening,

Bump.
I still have hopes that you might consider SF2 export as well in the pro edition. This, or opening up the propriety format to sample converter software programs like Translator, Awave, or Extreme Sample Converter will make your product even better. I would like to hear your opinion on this. I hope to hear from you. --Sean |

I will think of the best option for this one. My concern about the SF2 export is that certain advanced parameters in Paax are not supported by the SF2 spec. |

Cool. Thanks for listening. I think listening is a good quality in a developer. --Sean |
