Please post here any feature request for StormGate3 version 2.
Right now we have:

(for v 1.1)
- pure MIDI CC Mode

(planned for v 2.0)

- multiple envelope tracks as "Lanes"
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=189163

- looping regions of the envelope

- free routing of each envelope (lane) to control any of the built-in effects parameters or MIDI CC sending

- Envelopes recording via MIDI, producing the step or the spike profiles. MIDI velocity support, and fixed or variable note duration

Hello Aldo,

This is a great list of new functions.
But, if it's makable I have one request.
I use sometimes on stage a set for live looping:
Live 6 with SooperLooper and now I make some rhythmics patterns live with Stormgate3.
But to make on the fly some patterns I need to take my computer mouse to draw the envelopes.
My idea, is the possibilities to send some midi notes, for example one for Hi, one for Mid and one for Lo to draw the envelopes type selected in the drawing tool section.

And it can be cool too, if the envelope level can be sensitive to the velocity note.

Ciao

Is this not already possible? You can select envelopes with midi notes I believe. Can't remember which notes trigger which envelope though.

This is very much the sort of setup I hope to put together soon, i'm glad there are users here with similar ideas Smile

Hi Kri, sorry for the late reply... we are facing several problems with our web site host right now, but this is also a great opportunity for us to improve its reliablity.

So you are suggesting some kind of recording functions to create quickly patterns without touching the mouse and it sounds extremely interesting.
This could work quite well for classic steps and exponential "spikes".
Are you suggesting real-time pattern recording (a MIDI note draws either a step or a spike according to its velocity and duration) or just step by step recording (one MIDI key draws the step the other one skips the step, for example)?

Another possible advencement could be MIDI controlled gating for the 3 bands, but there are already tools in the AraldFX toolbox for it... coming very soon.

Thanks for your feedback and idea!

I thing the two modes are goods, but exactly what I suggest for, is some recording option like we find in some most of audio/midi sequencers.
First mode : OVERWRITE
Second mode : MIX or OVERDUB
And for the duration of the recording if it's possible two to choose betwen two options:
1- SNAP to grid ( the lenght of the spike follow the tool size setting
2- FREE a MIDI note draws a spike according to its duration

Have a nice day
