Was it a question you had? or useful information you wanted to share, maybe something you heard in the cafe?
I must have visited everyday for 5 or 6 months until one day I saw a post, it may have been a putte post and I wanted to join in the conversation so I filled out all the info, made up my name and here I am. The world of VSTi's was a new thing for me, Steinberg Model E was my first one and then I downloaded many free ones here. There is a vast wealth of knowledge here and I know if I ever have a question regarding software or even hardware someone here will know the answer. One time I even posted a question about cleaning old lp's with mold on them and someone knew the answer. |

I first came here because I was getting my first really capable music PC and had a budget for a slew of synths. This was the best clearing house for music software info. So at first it was only a resource for info and I lurked the forums for info. I became more active in the community as I started actually producing music on that new PC. |

I was a member for ages before I posted (had an older account) but only for downloading VSTs and spent most of my time over at the old FL Studio forums or on yahoo message boards arguing over dumb shit with morons..
I like KVR because it covers just about all the bases for me when it comes to music production..and its loose enough to allow some horseplay when you are in the mood... Pity theres not more lady producers though but isnt that always the way.. *sigh* Plus thanks to KVR I've won a couple of cool synths (NexSyn, SynthMaster) and got a heads up about 2 cool IK multimedia GBs for sonik synth, sampletank and miroslav which I would never have found out about otherwise.. Met some cool folks, entered the KVR DC for fun, got good advice on software, techniques, the list goes on.. |

Came here to ask a question about Waldorf Attack (yep that long ago So then I checked out their tunes and loved them... A bit after that I had a hard breakup and got some GREAT and important advice from the same folks... Just love it here really - saves me the price of CM every month and is way quicker with info Still in all this time Ive not finished a bit of music Im happy with - have years worth of bits I love but nothing finished Id like to say 'This represents the mckenic style that Im after'... Perhaps 2008 is the year! Dave |

When I become interested in something I look for all the information I can find on it. I discovered softsynths quite by accident (I was looking up information on Bob Moog) and eventually came across KVR. Three years later I have found out much, developed friendships (and other less positive interrelationships), and found some very smart people here.
I have not changed my opinion, however, during this time that KVR and the music software business is a very tiny place, well off the mainstream path, in the universe of computer users. This makes a lot of stuff here seem way more important than it is. Still, I've enjoyed a lot of good humor here, which is often the best part. ---- We escape the trap of our own subjectivity by perceiving neither black nor white but shades of grey |

I joined at first to get access to the patch banks What inspired me to start posting was one of RegPheonix's obscenely witty tirades; I thought I'd fit right in ew |
