The VST scanner does scan all sub-folders, but you can only define ONE VST path at a time ... then click on "Scan VSTs" ... after the quick scanner is done, click on "Capture PNGs"
I also like the ability to define multiple VST paths. Not every host does this. Is the VST scanner supposed to scan the subdirectories of each defined VST path? I hope it does. I'm not getting this to work. If asHost crashes during "Capture PNGs", restart asHost and click again on "Capture PNGs" --- most of the time asHost will just continue where it left off and mark the crashed plugin as "Invalid" My stupid mistake. I scanned my VSTs - 1085 DLLs! It took about 20 seconds! Loading the PNGs now. Very very cool. |

Try placing the following in asHost.ini: (assuming you have ASIO4ALL installed, if asHost.ini doesn't exist then create it in the same folder as asHost.exe)[ASIO] ASIO Driver=ASIO4ALL v2 ASIO4ALL v2 IN=0,1 ASIO4ALL v2 OUT=0,1 Output Channel=0 Input Channel=0 |

Well, I don't have ASIO4All installed here.
For info, this PC is the one where I do my functional testing; it's the NVidia nForce ASIO drivers. My other hosts can use that driver OK. ---- DarkStar Interesting, if true ... |

I had also this problem the first time.I had old drivers for my RME Card installed and also my current Tascam US 122. I deinstalled the RME Drivers and all worked. |

Trying to set up asHost: when I click File >> Preferences I get a pop-up "ASIO Driver failed" then an Exception Error and asHost closes. Same with me. I will not use asio4all on my studio computer. I have a presonus and it works great with ASIO - no problems with anything else. Mike |

OMG Your f**king kidding me right?
Mgui grows up! Love it. Does it encorporate Mgui's wrapping capabilites for MFX and can you go on the record to state whether or not they will work Awesome job! edit: "the current download is ONLY valid until 31-07-2008" Does this mean this version will stop functioning after this date? |

Re problems with setting up driver:
Could one of you try to replace the "ASIO4ALL v2" (3x) with the driver-name of your audio-card ?? Also, did asHost create an asHost.ini file ? -- if yes, please send me the ini-file so I can have a look at it for any clues why things are not working ... |

OK, I tried that here, with the following .ini file: [ASIO] ASIO Driver=NVIDIA ASIO NVIDIA ASIO IN=0,1 NVIDIA ASIO OUT=0,1 Output Channel=0 Input Channel=0 but got the same result. i also get the 2 line Log Messages window top and centre. After asHost had disappeared (and it takes a few seconds before my PC would respond), the .ini file was; [ASIO] ASIO Driver=NVIDIA ASIO Output Channel=0 Input Channel=0 My "original .ini file just said: [ASIO] HTH |
