I started and finished this tonight. I have another track i've been working on for weeks that has just been nothing but a struggle. I needed to work on & finish something completely different. It's a bit intense. As of late i have allot of stress i need to release. It's art to help art =)(1st time i've recorded dbl bass kick in years, felt good)
Retention.mp3

The circle image with this painting fit me and this track well. Great work i must say.

No fair!!!! That sounded huge and awesome and was not nearly long enough. I've already listened to it like 5 times. It's amazing how much sound you've managed to fit in the space between 20Hz and 20,000Hz (give or take) considering you are limited to a range of something like 96dB. Really awesome stuff. Smile

Thanks. Yeah i'm tempted to make a full length now. Well now that I have found a way not to be a slave to a click track & can have my DAW timelime slave to me i can now go nuts with my drum parts. I want to make new full length with this feel.

like justin, I had to listen to this several times! partly, because I wanted to make sure I heard everything and partly because this is one of those things where 1:03 [Ulysses Everett McGill] is just enough arouse my appetite without bedding it down[/Ulysses Everett McGill]

Hey vieris !

I am very glad you did choose "ReInKarnaCircle" !
This painting means of all of my paintings the most to me, concerning my way of thinking, teaching, living and philosophical approaches !
As a drummer you completely did hit the mark Wink
I like the tune very much, though it is really too short Smile

You recorded with an e-drum ?
As you mentioned you can have your DAW be the slave to you ... do you know Akira Jimbo ?
He is one of the biggest inspiration to me ... I also rearranged my drumset to a hybrid set, means a-drums combined with e-drum-pads and the Yamaha DTXtreme IIs as the brain !
I once saw Jimbo live and nobody really believed it, that he was playing all by himself Very Happy
It's a very good exercise for your coordination, far away from the coventional approach, to play the rhythm AND the harmonys and melodys at the same time Wink

Thank you very much for your contribution ! Smile

Cool stuff, V. The track is short, but it makes colorful circles in my head via headphones, so I think you nailed it.

Yeah i'm all about circles & pattern cycles in all aspects of life.

"You recorded with an e-drum ?" Nope it's all acoustic.

Akira Jimbo is fun to watch for sure.
