Redline doesn't muddy up the signal, CSR does.

I have to say that RR sounds a lot better than CSR. RR can be extremely transparent and because it has those musical grains it really shines in mixes and adds a lot of body to the input instead of weakening the signal like most softverbs.

I'm glad that other people feel the same. I have the cash freed up for Aether, but I feel as though everyone else can apparently hear something amazing in Aether that is somehow lost on me. Flicking through the presets, using it on both Inserts and Sends, I really don't find anything acoustically remarkable about it. At a RRP of over $300, I know I'm missing a bargain with the group buy, but I'm totally unconvinced by it.

Redline pips the post for me, but I'm still humming and haaing about whether I actually need a new reverb. I don't find it as grainy as some people have remarked, but then I own Tone2 Warmverb which is mega grainy (imho), like dropping a penny on a glasstop table.

Bullshit.

I wonder if there will EVER be a reverb that everybody likes.

I haven't heard anyone ever complain about the Bricasti M7. Except about the price tag maybe.

Not even the Bricasti M7 is perfect for everything - but that could change with version 2 which will be released in July.

Well, what finally decided it for me about Aether is that it just doesn't seem to be working on my computers. At first I thought it was working, but then I realized that it isn't doing anything. And it flat out causes Wavelab to just crash. It really is NOT doing anything because the activity monitor shows no activity. I got it to work once for a few minutes on one of the computers, but then nada. And yes... I know how to set up an effect in my hosts and all that. I mean, my other reverbs seem to be working fine. So I'm really bummed about that - and I was thinking of getting it anyway since I'll probably be updating my computers in a few months.

But... I guess really... my computers are smarter than I am because I really don't need another reverb.

(Even though the gb is a really good deal and I have a lot of respect for the programmer, Denis, from prior experience with his products.)

But I'm definitely making an exception with Redline because I love what it does and how it sounds. And... it works! Grainy, not grainy or whatever people's experiences of it may or may not be: I respect those differing opinions and people's differing needs, but for me: I like it. I'm planning on making it a permanent part of my templates.

I was checking out Warmverb as well. Seems like a very nice product too, but I think not for me.

I really like this reverb. Very transparent sound. The modulation comes also very close to the art acoustics reverb.

What I also found:
It has great voice doubling qualitys. Turn the fader to the left
(early reflection) and play around with modulation, delay.
Sounds very good to my ears.

I think it's on my to buy list now.

Reverbs, synths, effects, hosts...

That's the nice thing about where things have gone with plugins in recent years. It's nice to have such a large selection of choices... there's something for everyone.

Not like in the past where you might have been saving up for quite a while for some of the higher end stuff and then you get it home and realize that it isn't all that.

Bricasti seems pretty good... until something else comes along. And it will... sooner or later something else will come along that everyone will be lusting after. It's just the way of it, I guess.

Sure, but their preferred reverb would have at most a tenth of the features and a hundredth of the quality, so no one would take them seriously.

I just downloaded the 60 day(!!!!!!!!!!!!) demo and I'm amazed. This is the reverb I was looking for the last years! I already own EOS, which is great for "bigger than life" things. This reverb is more on the grainy side of things, which makes it perfect for some small spaces. But that's not the only thing it can do! Large halls and special FX sound very, very nice too!

I'm sure I'll buy it!

And I'll download the Redline Preamp demo now
