Bkunku, while I am willing to entertain the proposition that I am indeed, as you put it, "a complete idiot," for not liking "quality plugins," I have to take issue with your reading skills. First of all, did I say in my very brief, perhaps ill-advised post that these were not "quality plugins"? I believe I made no mention of this phrase, Sir. Therefore I find it curious that you even introduced this term in response to my post. I believe you were distracted in your response and I am sure you would like to make amends. If this was the case, apology accepted. Second, I merely stated my taste with reference to the instruments under discussion. And this was/is that I didn't particularly care for them. Nothing to do with their quality, free or otherwise. Just not my cup shot of brandy. Thirdly, perhaps I was a bit rash and I offended your sensibilities by confessing that I had deleted them from my hard drive, but I do this with most things that I don't use on my computer. As they say, the most beautiful rose can at times be a weed if you don't want in your frigging garden. So enjoy the synths, as you should because you like them and you think them of quality, which they probably are. But, you know, us musicians are fickle, at times idiotic, often clueless beings who inhabit realms and domains beyond the ordinary, some of us even claim to be from Saturn. But in the end it comes down to taste and what gives you pleasure. And if you find these instruments worthy of your affection and they bring enjoyment to your spirit, who am I to be against such a thing for it is indeed a blessing and a gift and a marvel.

Ciao!

Hey Man! I do think BFunku was joking and teasing you, did you not see the Very Happy emoticon?

He will probably be back to tell you, so chill. It is OK. There are synths enough for all of us at KVR and no one expects us to love them all. Wink

You are even lucky: Saying that you do not fancy the synths in a mass hysterical appraisal thread like the present one, could have motivated a whole lynching party!

Peace

I almost feel guilty having these for free. The string synth alone is worth money. I'd be willing to make a donation. Put up a paypal link dude.

As buggy as my Logic for PC is, I only had a few problems. One of the synths wouldn't play half of its presets and the tape one crashed Logic but so does nearly everything else.

Even I was offended by what I was going to put here.

1. I applaud you for not becoming Apple's bitch and switching to Mac to use Logic Very Happy

2. Try having the "play" button on the transport bar active to hear some of the presets you cannot play now (ie have your sequencer playing)

Hskovlund, I take offence, Sir, at your advise to chill. It is not OK. Whatever this business of chilling is, I do not care for it. My honour has been offended and I demand, nay, I insist on reparations. Nothing short of a complete apology shall suffice! Hskovlund, I did see the emoticon. Now reread my previous post using your best Foghorn Leghorn voice and you'll get my drift. Sorry to have to spell it out, but I was teasing.

Oh I am sorry! Had honestly not read it to the beautiful garden metaphor of yours. Would have changed my perception entirely. I bow to thee and apologize for my ignorance! Do not chill then! Not even the slightest!

Can not speak for the mob though, so you better still be careful, good Sir!

Hell's tits! I'm trying to not add more VSTs to my collection... balls. Can't wait to try them out but I shall be doing so with frustration as the delays in putting together my demo CD continue.

Damn you Pooooooooolaaaaaaaaaaand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But well done.

Announcement

1. Background

Elektrostudio Analog Pack is still a test version, some kind of alfa. The author (Elektrostudio) had no idea that someone made his download links public available. The fact is, that author just wanted to show these test plugins to few friends.

Well, eventually after future testing, bugfixing - Analog Pack would still be released free.

2. Current state.

It's not a big secret that current author, doesn't have enough time to do some bugfixing, support, future development and his english language knowledge is just not enough. I contacted him and we all agreed that it'll be better if someone else will continue his work. This "someone else" guy is me. Since actually now, the official website will be http://www.vstcafe.com (there will be some subdomain added for sure) and I will be the Elektrostudio Analog Pack owner - the official contact, support email is: greeg@inbox.com

Feel free to ask questions, report bugs etc. I won't let those plugins die Smile

3. Known Bugs:

In this thread http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2515 45 you can read about known bugs. The most critical is loudness noise that randomly occurs on some certain configurations.

4. Download Links:

I would like to ask (well, actually it's Elektrostudio's will) all services to remove their download links pointing to Elektrostudio Analog Pack. After some bugfixes it'll be freely available again.

5. I already have Analog Pack, do I need to delete it ?
Nope Smile It's just - use it at your own risk. If you use it for the first time, make sure that your speakers volume is set to low. Do your standard workflow (add some external tracks, plugins here and there) and If it'll work for like hmm 30 minutes then it should be ok. So far we have a "loudness noise" bug reports coming mainly from Tracktion2 users and Cubase 4.5.1.

Soon, the http://elektrostudio.ovh.org/ address will redirect to vstcafe.com.

Wish me luck because that's a pretty big thing for me Smile
