generally i'd say piano vsts is a domain where commercial products are clearly better.
however, check the freebies by DSK and 4front. GSi had some nice pianos (mr ray) that used to be free but not anymore afaik. there also were some vsti's by Yannleo http://rekkerd.org/yannleo-releases-memo-06-eks-and-memo-07- eks/ dont know if where u can grab them now. |

Mda Piano is very light on cpu and does a fair job of a thinner, brighter house piano for free.
Cheers. |

i've tryed about every free piano plugin thats out and i don't think i've ever used any of them more than once
imo you're better off looking for free soundfonts or giga banks & a free player if you don't have one, more quality and quanity but it'll take a good bit of searching probably or actually check out proteus xv, its got over 2 dozen pianos in it a few patches i flipped thru were pretty similar to the piano in the vid you linked, proteus doesn't have the greatest sound quality but then again in 90s dance music they were probably using similar quality romplers or keyboards |

the korg m1 was used on most of those classic 90's piano tunes
as soon as you hear the m1 piano you know its the one the software version of the m1 in the korg digital edition does a very good recreation of it its not free but it is exactly what you're looking for re 'where love lives' |

But lest we forget the Rolands also. The JV series was heavily used at the time also. Good call on the Korg. - Orbit-50 .-. ---- Intel Core i7, Kore 2, Cubase 5, Ableton Live 7, Reason 5/Record 1.5, FL Studio, NI Komplete, Nexus 2, Gladiator2, Alchemy, Waldorf Attack, z3ta+, Rapture, Vanguard, Ohm Force, GForce, D16, Discovery Pro, Adventus?, ArtsAcoustic, FabFilter and more... |

Check out Proteus VX, perfect for the sound you want to get!
If you want a more realistic piano, there's a soundfont called Kawai_retuned that's pretty good too. |

This one is perfect for dance piano.
You only need a soundfont player, but this is easy to find if not allready has one. http://www.kiarchive.ru/pub/misc/sounds/samples/soundfonts/X P50HOUZ.ZIP ---- ___The Jepptunes___ "Accept All the Good" Sound design for SQ8L and Alchemy |

MDA Piano is the greatest for that Genre. If you feel it sounds to thin you can just layer 2 of them and make the other instance play 1 Octave lower + remember to add some Reverb ---- DFusion (On Esoundz) |

Is LazySnake still available . . . ?
I played it layered with another piano yesterday - still sounds great within a mix, as a solo piano, not so much ---- an expert on what it feels like to be me & you are who you google http://soundcloud.com/mrnatural-1 |
