converting wav to sfz help

hi im wanting to know what i need to convert my wav sample collection to different formats such as sfz/kontakt.
any advice is much appreciated.

What type of sample collection are we talking about? Simple drums & one-shots, loops (4 or 8-bar beatz), or instruments (with looped sections, articulations, etc)

SFZ is only a text file describing what to do with WAV files. SfzEd is a GUI to edit these. So you don't really "convert" the sample format, you merely make it easily accessible for SFZ.

Dunno about Kontakt, but I think you'd have to do the legwork in Kontakt itself.

Single Hits/Multi-Samples/Loops the usual stuff.
Iv'e already sorted all my own library out in Wavelab i.e looping etc but im not quite clear on how to convert to use in the likes of kontakt/dimension pro/dropzone.

your a star bertkoor..thanks very much i downloaded the converter and it works just fine..now i have the original wav and the sfz converted file next to it.

Kontakt will do a half-hearted job of reading the SFZ files, so you can use them as a starting point.
