Hi
Hoping someone can help me with this: 1) I have mapped midi CC21 to control VSTi cutoff parameters. I've assigned a knob in a midi keyboard controller and it all works fine: tweaking the knob makes corresponding knob in VSTi move. 2) In record mode, song playing, i move the knob in keyboard and automation is recorded in track's CC21 lane. That's normal but it's where i have doubts. 3) In the plus sign of the midi track XT allows me to add a especific lane to the cutoff parameter of the VSTi so, if CC21 is controling cutoff why my recorded automation isn't recorded / displayed in THAT lane ? Thanks. |

It may be hidden under the clip with the midi note data. |

That's not the case. Even deleting the whole thing (data in lane and lane itself) and starting from zero always records in CC21 lane instead of "cutoff" lane. For testing purpose it's a 4 bars clip only.
Even tryed with different VSTi. It must be something i'm not doing well or understanding, but thanks. |

Thanks. It's because automation isn't finished in XT. If you have mapped that controller in XT's interface, and have started recording, XT will only save your midi messages in cc lane, because that is what you are doing, you are sending midi cc 27 to program. Energy xt doesn't have automation recording mode, it just records midi data without any conversion. Right now, only way to record automation to vst parameter lane is to record movements from vst interface or from editor. |

Thanks kejkz.
It was puzzling me, because, as you say, rcords made from vst interface or editor worked fine. Guess i'l have to wait for this feature and for the moment live without it |

This means that automation recorded as CC lanes is always "on" as the song is played (theres no mute possibility in lane) and automation recorded directly with mouse clicks from editor or VST interface can ben muted (lane) and overrided when playing song. Is this correct ? In the above question, the scenario is two tracks with same midi output: one track for notes only and the other for CCs / synth parameters control. Thanks |

That's the only solution... not too nice, but still valid! |
