Hi! Right now i need a nice Organ, i recognized, there are some free ones
like these: http://zionorgan.com/samplesets/samplesets.htm
But they are "hbw"-Hauptwerk formated. Is there any possibility of "extracting" the wave files somewhere i can create custom Kontakt patches for my own personal use? Would this be legal? Since the are offered for Free. And if so, how would i do that.

I already have:
- The Garritan Concert Organ
- The Free Maestro Organ
- Jeux the Orgues 2

But it would be nice to have some more options...

I - dared to look at some comercial pricings which are really "evil"
like 600-1000$ (if you want something more that the 5-8 standart Stops)
i mean... organs are not really that difficult to record are they?
Shure you have to set up the micros, but after that: One single velocity layer + holding the note down 10-30 seconds. switching the manual -> next one. (Ore am i too optimistic about that? Rolling Eyes )

Bear in mind that I'm half asleep already and I probably missed the really important part of your post. Smile

Iliadis makes fantastic VSTi Organs and very fair price. I think many Synths can make a good Organ sound too. No doubt the FREE Kore Player has some as well. A good VST will probably be better than a static Sample!

Off the top of my head: it would be worth looking at 'sonimusicae'. They have some great FREE Kontakt Instruments. Perhaps they have some good organs in their collection!

Apologies in advance if I totally missed the point of your post.

This just popped up on another thread! It may interest you if you're still looking. 39 Euro (I think). Looks like a two handed beast!

AH! May you could help me again.

After downloading it (370MB), i wanted to install it but i can't figure out,
WHAT i would have to do. After selecting the Folder for my instalations it keps asking me: "Insert Hauptwerkt ore Browse to it manually!". But i don't know what to do. I browsed to the Hauptwerk Installation .exe but i'm shure thats not what it wanted me to do.

Should there be something missing?

I already downloaded some free Organs (~2000MB) and now i'm really frustrated Confused. Unfortunally I couldn't find the "help" pdf any helpfull.
So may you know what to do?

No idea what went wrong, it installed fine on my machine. It does need JAVA installed.
I have installed the plugin to D:\VstPlugins and the rest to G:\Hauptwerk.
There is 171MB installed to C:\Program Files\Hauptwerk Virtual Pipe Organ.

When running Hauptwerk (stand-alone) the first time select "Free Edition".

When running Hauptwerk (plugin) the first time: MainMenu -> General Settings -> General Options -> Select "Free Edition" in last combo-box and reload the Hauptwerk VST.
