You are really going for it.

There is not really a "best". It's how you use each tool, and how you mix the sound that is the key. The same delay that works for psy can also work for Country & Western, or some twisted under gound techno.

Nice recommendation from ckatrun about the TAL plug-ins though. Really amazing for free! You could write a whole album of great psy trance using only TAL plug-ins

Software is very funny. Human hearing is also funny. I think that a lot of audio production tools, even a good amount of freeware, Tal Plug's included, sound great; not only do they sound great, but our ability to discern audio quality, falls far short of the software's ability to be accurate, beyond our ability to hear.

Yes the effects in Live sound profissionaly. It is a profissional company with a profissional product.

Download some free synths and run them through Live's profissional sounding effects

That's a fracking great deal on the best Vocoder available in software.
