HI Guys~

This is my first post by way of introducing myself to the Receptor community. I
am a new (1 week) owner of a Receptor 2 Pro.

Does anyone here know if the power off procedure has changed with 1.8 software
and/or ver 2 models?

If i power down by pressing the power button twice, I invariably get a "system
failed" message. However, if I power down by holding the button for a few
seconds, the startup is clean.

Am I doing someting wrong? Is it my receptor? Or _____???

Thanks in Advance,

Jim Kost

Welcome!

Sounds like it's your Receptor.
It's not a 1.8 issue, as I've had it for a few months with no issues.

You should make a Support Ticket here:
http://www.plugorama.com/customer/home.php

Describe what's goin' on ~ they'll get you to the bottom of this.

Enjoy,

Here is an FAQ on this subject.

Receptor Start Up and Shut Down Troubleshooting
1. Verify the Installed Receptor System Version is current.

Open to the SETUP window of Receptor. What is the Receptor system version?
Next go to http://www.museresearch.com/updates.php and see what the latest update is for your Receptor. If your operating system is not current, please update before proceeding.
2. Remove ANYTHING that is connected to the Receptor other than the power cable.

3. Load a blank Receptor patch.

Press and hold the SETUP button.
With the SETUP button still held press the MIXER button.
The front panel LCD should read "SU Blank Patch Loaded"

4. Verify zload is Disabled

Turn the top LCD knob to the until you see "SU Enable Zload"
Press the bottom LCD knob until it reads "SU Enable Zload > Disabled"

5. Now wait 30 seconds to ensure autosave has done it's job.

6. Now DOUBLE press the Receptor Power button to shut Receptor down.

7. Repeat a cycle of turning on and shuting down. It's expected at no time there will be an issue with this test.

Common Reasons for shut Down Problems. A problem with a plugin or collection of plugins. zload conflict with a plugin A USB device of some type. Not running the latest Receptor system version.

If the problem can be duplicated under this test then that may point to hardware failure of some type.

Does the Receptor 2 support multiple USB keyboards? The Receptor 1 didn't.
