Just bought it from Audiomidi.com. Why wouldn't you? $15 download only. Haven't tried it yet but heard good things.

Go to www.audiomidi.com and do a search for "no brainer."

Hi Kahuna,

Yeah $15 is a great price. It's funny, to crossgrade on receptor is more than 3 times that ($50).

VA-1 is a nice VA. It is fairly straight forward to program sounds, if you are used to VAs. It has a very clean sound to it, especially on Receptor. I often use VA-1 or FabFilter twin as a go-to Virtual Analog.

Enjoy,

Ah, thanks for clueing me in Kevin. I missed the crossgrade bit. Needs to be authorized on I-Lok to run on Receptor. This makes it look less like a fire sale and more like good ol-fashioned loss-leader marketing. Clever.

Not to worry. $64.00 is still a good price to get it on my computer and Receptor.

And the front panel does look very friendly. Personally, I'm getting a little tired of those fake hardware front panel graphics. They can lose the potential advantages of software without really capturing the advantages of hardware, leaving you with the worst of both worlds. Sometimes makes better ad copy than actual user interfaces.

And thanks for the tip on the soundset, HF.

Those soundbanks don't work on Receptor. Unless someone knows a trick to make them work.
