I've been futzing around with my Receptor on and off for the last year and have never really gotten to the point where it is doing what I need it to do in my occasional live gigs.

My very specific goal - having a dozen or so drumkits accessible to be triggered from a Korg PadKontrol, with a simple / quick way of changing patches from the front panel.

I'm fine with a long initial load but can't seem to get my head around the best way to accomplish this. I'd like to have kits from both Battery 3 and Sampletank 2.5 accessible with the least amount of load time.

The padKontrol transmits on Channel 10 by default.

According to the manual, singles don't store the "listen to Midi" so I've turned them to listen to all (so I can preview them from either my 88-key controller (transmits channel 1 or the padkontrol on 10), so it looks like I have to use Multi patches to get the midi listen info to store.

Do I want to set up a different instance of each Plugin - say 6 battery and 5 Sampletanks on different channels, each with a different patch loaded , then deactivate all but one and then save it as a multi? Then activate a different channel and save it as the next multi patch, etc.?

I thought I could do one Battery channel and one Sampletank Channel (one activated at a time), With Sampletank deactivated load the Batttery patch A in the Battery source channel, save the multi ("Multi A"), increment the Battery patch to patch B, save the multi as another patch (Multi B). Unfortunately, it does not seem to preserve the selected patch -- when I reload the Multi A, it keeps my activation and midi listen channels, but Battery still has the patch B. That's where I currently am.

I thought I would get a little help from the experts...I'm reasonably adept at things midi/audio, but after scouring the Receptor manual, it doesn't really address the scenario I'm trying to do here. I've used the Receptor about 6 times live so far and I usually just manually load Battery, go to my patches, then load each one, wait, at some point I need one from Sampletank, so lots of menus, loading, scrolling, waiting involved. I know this is not how it was designed so trying to do it "right" finally.

Thanks in advance for any advice.
