I posted this poll at Future Producers (more Hip Hop oriented forum), and figured I'd post it here as well. Here's the situation: There's a load of sample collections out there geared toward Hip Hop, but Hip Hop musicians tend to get the short end of the stick when it comes to soundbanks that specificly target just their style.

I can squeeze in some extra time to make a small bank of 40 sounds for the synth that gets the most votes and I'll price it at just 3.99 USD. This will both give me a quick change of pace to inspire ideas in other current projects and will also be a good chance to test the waters with this market and see how well it is recieved.
The genre covered with this bank will be Hip Hop only, and I will not be taking any sound requests for this one -- no emulations of any famous sounds, just totally brand new content that fits with the genre and inspires new ideas beyond the tried-and-true but same-old sinewave whistles and easy-peasy basses.

Well...the overwhelming majority of votes, combined from here and the same poll at FutureProducers.com, favors Sylenth.

There's gonna be a chance of plans, too....

I always talked about doing Sylenth Untranced, so I'm just gonna go ahead and do that, but it'll be split into 2 banks of 64. The first bank, called UnTranced, will cover Hip Hop, Electro and Pop. I'll make the sounds so that the WHOLE bank of 64 will be useful to ALL 3 genres, so no obvious "Gansta Whines" that alienate the other two or any other "mixed bag" stuff here Smile. I'll sell it for 5.99. for the first week, then it goes up to 7.49 (exactly half the standard price of a full Xenos Soundworks bank).

Later, I will release the second small bank, which will cover Dubstep, UK Grime, and Drum & Bass. This one will be released after the new year and will have the same price plan -- one week introductory price, then it's jacked up to half the standard for a full set.

Again, I'm doing this without any sound requests this time...wanna take a break and just let the new ideas flow Smile.

Was about to say that the last time I remember you posting a poll it was about a non-trance bank for Sylenth but that nothing seems to have happened re. that bank. But then I saw you mentioned it yourself!

So, same as I said before, your free bank for Sylenth was awesome, get going on some non-trance stuff and I'm sure people will pay.
