I feel as though all of my White Noise plugins are abandonware... What is the story, Dave? Will we ever see any updates? ---- The unDJ |

Whoa, David lives!! Well it would be nice to see some maintenance updates like bringing them up to 64-bit or even VST 3, and are they all at least VST 2.4? Some polish on the Additive and Dopplemangler GUIs would be nice too, since they seem kinda finicky on Cubase 5 / Vista x64. I really can't think of any new features Zero Vector might need. I think 64-bit would be the biggest thing with all of them though, because I will eventually switch to 64-bit Cubase and I am not fooling with any lame 32-bit adapters. I would pay for that update. Other than that, I don't know. You got anything else in the works or have you, like so many other indie VST devs, been beaten down by piracy? I am still looking for an effect plugin that works like the grain shifter on the Korg Electribe EMX-1. ---- The unDJ |

Okeedoke, good points. I am working on some new stuff though it's still a ways off. My biggest project right now is an iPhone app, which I just wrapped up work on and submitted to the app store. Info at http://www.bleepboxapp.com/
video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=55JQK5300D4 Sales have pretty much dropped off to zero as of late, but I don't blame piracy for that. It's more lack of updates, lack of promotion and tons of competition in the VST plugin space (yikes there are a lot of companies in the forum now On the up side - I know lots of people have asked for Mac versions. I've recently gotten myself a Mac Mini and have become pretty comfortable doing Mac stuff, so any future stuff I do will work on a Mac. ---- David Wallin - White Noise Audio Software http://www.bleepboxapp.com/ (groove box for iPhone) http://www.whitenoiseaudio.com/ (VST plugins) |

Interesting stuff, I wonder when I will start seeing some kids doing live sets with their iPhones/iPods. Looks like its the next big thing with all these audio apps being released. I wonder if they will add some kind of MIDI-over-USB protocol for iPhone/iPod so you can sync multiple devices each running a different audio app.
Now if you take the clean, modern design principal you have used on the Bleep Box website and interface and apply that to Additive, Doppelmangler, and Zero Vectors' GUIs and maybe the main White Noise website, I bet the plugs start selling again. Well they could probably also use some price cuts and updates for 2009 like 64-bit. ---- The unDJ |

The iphone has wifi and there is a library called DSMI (http://dsmi.tobw.net/) which allows you to send midi messages over wifi. This could let you sync multiple devices or computers. I'm planning on supporting it in the first update most likely. ---- David Wallin - White Noise Audio Software http://www.bleepboxapp.com/ (groove box for iPhone) http://www.whitenoiseaudio.com/ (VST plugins) |
