What's this all about - I never had trouble in the past?

Trojan-PSW.Win32.QQPass.uvl

It tried to load up soemthing when installing but was unable and my virus scan software quarantined it. Surprised Shit!

alot of virus scans are claiming vst oriented stuff is "infected", especially synth edit files...
try either re-downloading, or if that fails, submit a copy to some of the sites that will scan files with different AV engines...google should find one...
if it's clean, which it probably is, you may want to disable your antivirus temporarily to install the file.
hope that helps.

Best not to post duplicate threads, but since they're both established here's the other, with the verdict that it's yet another false alarm:

I should claify: As near as I'm able to tell, it is. Couldn't hurt to scan your system, but it does seem consistent with similar cases that turned out to be false alarms.
