I enjoy the piano part, and the drums are okay. They seem a bit obtrusive to the track, especially the reverbed crash cymbal. The singing...I just don't like...I don't know what it is, but it almost seems not to fit in with the track...and her voice doesn't blend well with the rest of the track.
However, I focused my attention on the kick, and I really like the crunch of the kick, and the little brush/shaker noises go well. The piano is very relaxing. |

02.Reference Point (Free Jazz Edit), very interesting composition, just I'd like the chords drops to be more swinging, up beat,
drums work good for me 01.Reference Point ft Katie Mourning (Vocal Edit), not bad but more "obvious" going that the other, the voice adds "too much definition" to the melody (but I must add she's a very good singer) |
