What's the best way to use a Wacom tablet as a midi controller (preferably with pressure and tilt support)?

PC - want to take my laptop on holiday and need a way to input notes that's a bit more expressive than a piano roll

What I really want is to be able to play notes with it - I don't need it as a controller as such but as a keyboard alternative with more dimensions

what's your laptop done to deserve a holiday?
next thing you know it'll think it's got it made,
making demands, etc. your life will be a nightmare.
just take it down the pub for a couple of drinks and a kebab.

Osculator is a good choice for Mac: http://www.osculator.net/
The developer himself uses a Wacom tablet for music and he is very responsive to his users.

I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil
