Super Nintendo's audio system AKA SPC aka S-SMP, is really a ADPCM derivative (BRR) sample player, it doesnt have built in sounds.

If you want "Super Mario World" sounds, you should look out for SNES sample extraction apps (there are plenty out there). However that is a legal fine line that no company in its right mind would ever cross.

There is however a certain digital 'grain' to that chip it that we have emulated for our future product, so ripping the samples as is it not enough to capture the full sound spectrum.

Definitely C700 VST, I was planning to make an accurate SNES VST at some point in the past to make a nice buddy to my Megadrive VST (FMDrive) until I found this one :)
It is really accurate and let you import data samples directly from a game file or even create your own by converting to the appropriate BRR format.
The particular delay echo feature of the SNES sound chip is also emulated perfectly.
It can be a little buggy but overall it is awesome.

I'm wondering this as well. I think I've heard that it had something to do with machine code? But that could be completely wrong...But they had to program the tracks with SOMETHING. Anyone around here who could explain the process would be greatly appreciated.

I recall an interview with David Wise (of Donkey Kong Country 1/2 fame) where he mentioned his DKC tracks being inspired by the sound of the Korg Wavestation. OP may want to check out the Wavestation plugin in the Legacy Collection.
