Hey,
Was just downloading updates for my FabFilter stuff and noticed in the downloads section there is 'FabFilter Pro-G'. Says it's a Flexible gate/expander. http://www.fabfilter.com/download/index.php?focus=19#focused Anybody heard anything about this? Doesn't seem to be much info on Google. |

Lol... followed soon by the Pro-CS channel strip, I'm sure. Are they going to charge 200 bucks for their noise gate w/ fancy GUI? ---- Has anybody ever really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like? |

A fully-featured gate plugin would be a really smart move from Fabfilter actually. Ever since sonalksis dropped out from the race with their new registration system and empty promises of native 64-bit versions there has been a gaping hole in the landscape for a really good, flexible gate.
If the rumours are true, I am a very likely buyer. |

I have Cubase, Reaper, and Sonar, and they all come with pretty capable gates. What host are you using? There's always the free and excellent ReaGate. |

It will be fascinating to see what they have done to make this worth getting. I have and use all FabFilter plugs but i doubt this one will be added to my collection. I was hoping for a new creative plugin. |

I'd really like to see some kind of granular sampler from Fabfilter. I think something like that could fit their interfaces really well Cheers Dennis ---- Back from the dead - Sorry if I didn't answer your mails/PM/whatever during the last few months. Yeah, I have to add that at this point it is impossible for FabFilter to have too many products. Everything they've made so far is in its respective category among the best plugins on the market. As a company there is no other that I respect more.
I'm unable to use a "pretty capable" gate after kjaerhus golden gate and the sonalksis gate. But I expect that Pro-G will crush all of them and become the gate of all gates. |
