Why do you like it?
Why do you recommend it to others? How is the light version? (Yes, I downloaded the demos and will try them out.) |

With RapidComposer I can use my favorit VST synths, find a sound, create some phrases and then apply different chord progressions on that.
Whenever I find a sound/phrase/chord progression I like, I save it in the library or export it as midi or wav into my prefered DAW for making a complete song. I also like the tools for creating and making variations of the phrases. |

I must say RapidComposer is a very exciting music software I recently discovered. I use it for laying out musical ideas - it is easy to create very interesting textures by just adding and making copies of phrases, adding variations, or using the phrase generators. Changing chords and progressions freely without having to touch the notes is great too. All my VSTi plug-ins work well. Once you learn and get used to the concept, it becomes a valuable composing tool.
I own the full version BTW. /Rick |

With Rapidcomposer I've the essentials tools to start something that always will be better than ever I could thought.
What I want to say is this software is not only a merely extension of my capabilities of music composition. I think is the "secret cinema" behind the most out-of-the-box ideas that I've done. With the Full Version of Rapidcomposer the sentence "ghost in the machine" makes more sense. Cheers, Nuno Oliveira Tv and Film Music Composer |

I would like to see some short mini videos explaining the workflow. I don't seem to grasp the concept 100%. ---- Cowbells! |

Building a 'phrase' library!
This can be done in either version. I've collected a lot of midi songs and 'snippets' over the years. It has always been a hassle to have to load them one at a time in my DAW to monitor an idea I'm considering, which means that using them can be time consuming and inspiration killing. Now that I've imported some into RapidComposer, I only need click on the title of the phrase in the phrase browser to monitor it and then cannot only easily import it ... but easily transform it for different ideas. If I find a really good transformation, then it's 'Add To Database' and I have another great phrase for future use. I only have the LE version so far, but I plan to upgrade. I cannot wait to see how great it will be to generator phrases using the 'phrase morpher' and then be able to chop out new phrases from the transitions. Como ---- Help! What I also like?
The phrase editor. Really, you can compose complete melody lines here. Just watch when you select the scale chooser at the top of the window and try different scales on your phrase. It seems to me that in the near future this program will become a legendary brand like Cubase, Sound Forge, Reason, FL Studio ... Or even more ... Once beyond fascinating, sometimes suggests some kind of magic or easy creative expansion not available in any other popular application today! |
