Parallel Worlds wrote: DiN37 Exit Strategy CD album by Ian Boddy & Parallel Worlds
(release date 31st of May 2011)
information and track previews now on the DiN web site http://www.din.org.uk/din/node/379 Both Boddy & Sirros have a long, well documented love of analogue modular synthesisers and the organic sounds and rhythms these instruments can produce so in many ways it was inevitable that these two musicians would collaborate at some point. Sirros started the ball rolling with the composition of a series of both ambient soundscapes and more structured multilayered compositions. These featured his unusual pulsing, throbbing analogue percussion layers, warm soundscapes and beguiling melodies that are in many ways a signature sound of Parallel Worlds. Boddy took this raw material and shaped, arranged and sculpted it into a series of seven inter-linked tracks that form a musical narrative that runs throughout "Exit Strategy". Adding his glissando keyboard sound that was premiered on his album Slide (DiN31 2008) Boddy brought a real emotional focus to the album which, whilst it may seem to journey through dark, subterranean territory has some glorious melodic highlights. "Exit Strategy" proves once again that the DiN label can conjure up new combinations of sonic palettes from internationally renowned electronic musicians. lots of modular (and other) machines used in this album of course, like: Doepfer A100 wall, Serge modular monster, Technosaurs Selector system-D, Arp Odyssey, EMS VCS3 (modded), EMS Random Voltage Generator, Korg MS20, MS50, VC10, SQ10, Trident, PE1000, Roland System-100, System-100m (3 cabinets), Oberheim 4-voice (modded), Analogue Systems RS-Integrator, Analogue Solutions Concussor, Metalbox/CGS modular, (euro system with Livewire, Plan B, 4ms, Cyndustries, Malekko, Makenoise, Harvestman modules), Waldorf microwave XT, Microwave I, Oberheim OB-Mx, Nord Modular, Korg stage echo, Roland space echo, korg ms02, Roland tr606 (modded), Korg ESX1, ES1. etc, etc.... Exit Strategy now available from the DiN web store. http://www.din.org.uk/din/node/385 |

Memory Geist - 'Benthos' (DiNDDL09)
DiNDDL09| Release date 04/07/11
"Benthos" is the second album by Memory Geist, the collaborative project of Steve Law (of Zen Paradox, Starseed Transmission & Black Cab) and Bakis Sirros (of Parallel Worlds & Interconnected). Their first album "Funereal Cavern" was released in 2007 by the well respected Italian experimental label Musica Maxima Magnetica. The creation of "Benthos" has been a long process initiated in mid-2007 when Law visited Sirros in his home town of Athens, Greece and the duo recorded some initial material together comprising a variety of soundscapes, sequences, analogue rhythms & organic atmospheres. On his return to Melbourne in Australia, Law sculpted this raw material into a set of 6 tracks which were augmented by further soundscapes, rhythms and arrangement ideas sent across to him by Sirros. The gestation of "Benthos" took 4 years in total and has resulted in the birth of a complex and fascinating ambient electronica album. The pieces range from dark, industrial rhythmic tracks to cosmic style slabs of ambience and showcase the duos use of modular analogue synths alongside computer software manipulation. info and clips here: http://www.din.org.uk/din/node/388 the album will soon also be available as a limited edition (100 copies) digipack CD-R from Alio Die's label Hic Sunt Leones. (for the gear-heads: this album is full of various modular and analogue synths, including ARP 2600, Doepfer A100 / eurorack, Integrator, Serge modular, Technosaurus Selector, Metalbox/CGS, MS50, System-100m, Trident, etc, etc... ) |

the One (Family) presents their debut CD: "sprout_tiers"… 8 tracks, totaling 51 minutes, recorded at the home of Becky Burroughs-One & Justin Gray-One. The album begins with three ambient soundscapes ("radish", "alfalfa", "adzuki") which utilize looping violins, guitars, vocals and synthesizers. As the album shifts ("mustard") the ambiance turns into rhythmic tension. Drums are introduced ("clover") and creates a layered sound reminiscent of Montreal's Godspeed You! Black Emperor. A short release and return build ("mung", "lentil") until all breaks for the choral coda chant ("wheat") and outro noise-loop… Fans of experimental & the avant garde will appreciate what this Sarnia group has created.

Earlier this year I released a free single / EP on belgian netlabel Load and Clear called 12 O' Clock Dubs. It goes in the style of electronic dub, melancholic yet rythmic and not very dancefloor oriented. Orignally written in 2008, in a darkly creative period, I was prevented by some unfortunate circumstanses and low health to release it back then. It can be downloaded for free here: http://www.archive.org/details/SuecaeSounds-12OClockDubslc49 Or be bought for 1.5 $ here, which pretty can be considered a donation, for those who feel inclined to do so: http://vibedeck.com/suecaesounds/ |

i have released some old material on bandcamp:
http://matteobosi.bandcamp.com/ "Illusioni" a full length album from 2007, a very etherogeneus CD: it has 12 instrumental songs (10 original piece, 2 covers/rearrangements) which covers from soundtrack-style music, to rock/hard rock/progressive, to ethnic, ambient, new age, classical.. "Alchemy of life - soundtrack ad 1312": my very first release (2000), an instrumental gothic-doom-metal production "Travelling in a ship lost in outer space": Ambient/drone music from outer space "Ancient Kingdom": some orchestral piece with a fantasy/epic flavour. plus two single songs. Some songs/album are relatively cheap. Others are downloadable for free or for a small donation (you choose the price)... if you want to support my music you are welcome! look for my next release... an instrumental pop/rock guitar oriented album. i just need the cover art! |

Here's my latest release deep / tech house release:
Rationalizer - Choices EP [JQMR002] Beatport link Rationalizer (aka Jan-Erik Müller) is a tech, progressive and deep house producer hailing from Finland. He started producing edm in the late 90s with hardware synths and samplers, first with trance but slowly drifting towards the deeper and more minimal sounds of house. JQM Recordings is proud to release Rationalizer's Choices Ep. The style portrayed in his original mixes (Answers and Choices) live in-between Deep House and Tech-House. They are well crafted compositions made of clean beats and ethereal synth melodies that blending perfectly with his design of the human voice as an instrument. In the remix of Choices Galuszka offers a Minimal Techno rendition with street edge. This remix has Galuszka's method of big wave bass with "gangster" vocal cuts and snare, to make you feel it...Yea. |

Nheap - "Clouds under the table" (post-rock/jazz/electronic) "Nearly 2 years in the making, and following the critically acclaimed Skymotion (selected as one of the best albums of 2009 by various blogs), "Clouds under the table" marks a new cornerstone in Nheap career. Featuring haunting melodies, quirky rhythms, organic electronics, postrock and jazz suggestions, dynamic live drums playing and a biggest sound, this album will find its place among listeners who think creative music can also be warm." Acustronica website "I can only agree with the statement that creative music can also be warm, for instance, if to regard Massimo Discepoli's 8-piece brand new one" Recent music heroes "Relaxing, but very thoughtful at the same time, recommended" Hidden Vibes Community On air on Aural Moon Recommended by ClongClongMoo FREE download, available both in FLAC and MP3 formats listen to some tracks: The Snow That Never Falls Down Gradients Daily Improvisation download the release for FREE at Acustronica netlabel, click HERE (release page, with clips) |
