isn't the best way to polish a turd to freeze it first? i think by "in the box" they mean "in the ice box"...and ice is pretty cheap. free if you know the recipe... |

thanks for the insightful replies; the question was prompted by an article in this month's sound on sound mag, wherein the strokes (for it was they) spent 10 weeks, 7 days a week, tracking 18 songs before reworking almost everything - followed by a screenshot of a "modestly sized" pro tools sessions, showing a mere 44 tracks... |

Ah well now you deliver a more interesting and referenced post regarding ITB. Will read the article Im about two esubs behind at the moment. Summer get's me out of the house more

You have to be careful when polishing turds though, as sometimes the polish just makes it all bland and lifeless...
