Cheers Jon Aj that's good news. Are the presets going to be complete banks? Any info on what's in store please? |

About the banks, I'm not quite sure, you should ask Rob he'll be doing them, but I'm sure they'll be cool.
About what's in store, the quick overview is you can use external sample folders, mute / solo drum pad, better memory management, sample pitch / amp decay curves, and various other small fixes & improvements, but more details on release. Cheers Jon |

Punch so far kick ass. So many possibilities in there. I predict there will be some phisical model modules soon... Also, it needs to be more promoted, kvr folks are all in samples world now seems like... I'm so long time waited for the drum synth like this(after Waldorf), and this was a real replacement. |

Hello,
Punch 1.0.2 can be downloaded. Just download and run the installer if you own Punch. Here is the list: - you can set an external sample folder. To do so click on the "Menu" button in the sample file screen. Here you can set the external sample folder, and also toggle between Punch's sample folder and this external sample folder. Be aware Punch only stores the paths to samples not the samples themselves, if you try to load in a preset using an external sample on a different machine, you'll need to set this external folder path to point to a similarly named folder with the sample in the same position on this other machine. Also sample names are limited to 64 characters, so you might have problems with very long sample paths & names, so it's best to set the external sample folder as high up the path hierarchy as feasible. If you are creating presets to be used on other machines, you still should use Punch's sample folders to store samples, because using samples in these folders will ensure the presets work on all machines without having to mess around without people having to set the external sample folders. - mute & solo functions. In the mixer screen, if you click on the drum labels you can turn on / off mute or solo any drum , or reset all the drums to normal status. - better memory usage - file button in the pattern manager screen which opens up the file manager in the pattern folder, so you can delete , rename folders etc. - added sample pitch & amp decay curves - you can now load in 32 bit wav files - fix for Mac Lion - other small changes and fixes. - a few new presets inside Dance bank 2, FilmScore and VoltageDisciple bank. |

Most excellent, I really didn't want to make copies of all my samples just to be able to use them in Punch. |

Just a note about this, to get Punch 1.0.2, all you need to do is to download it from the downloads page.
I hope people enjoy 1.0.2 (I have plenty of ideas for 1.0.3), and problems just let us. Cheers Jon |
