Just realized that all three of my DAW's can save presets for any plug. Duh. |

Now all the plugins work as a straight mono effect on mono tracks in Logic, too (upcoming versions). A great cpu load reduction |

I'm running Pro Tools with a VST -> RTAS wrapper on a mac. I cannot get Roundtone to register with ProTools. I have multiple other VST pluigins that work correctly. I'm guessing I'm not putting the plugin in the correct folder. Can anyone help out? Thanks. - Adam |

Hi Adam,
the wrapper was never updated to (today old) VST 2.4. I wonder why... I won't write a deadline about the RTAS now, because I've delayed it too much But we'll get one... |

Found a bug in Roundtone 3:
The newly added controls on the bottom like Noise, Flutter... have frozen GUI in Tape Machine Mode, though they were working. Please fix ASAP. |

Are you using 3 or 3.02?
I had many issues with 3. |

This looks really nice, has anyone compared it to some other tape sims on the market like the slate vtm, waves kramer tape and such? I was really tempted to get the TB reelbus but that thing is a cpu hog so it would be hard to use more than a couple of instances in a session, also roundtone has some more interesting features like the delay and such. Can someone at least compare cpu usage of these tape sims? Probably going to pick up roundtone regardless considering how much I like stripbus already. |

A bit different this is more vintage classic sounding tape machine, 7.5 ips sounds pretty much more adequate and musical then any others tape sims,on this speed others sounds like a shit ! Some people get fooled from mastering recorders and trying to drive too hot the tape machines, i don't like to mix on 30 ips or even on 15 ips .Personally comparing to my real tape machine this one sounds very close to capturing tape sound.Slate VTM sounds a bit too clean for me for tape machine! |
