When it comes to banks and patches, what does DEMO mean? I'm assuming it must be reduced-content versions. Is that it? I refer to Nucleus SoundLab demos and other companies.

In the case of all of our Demo ReFills it just means you get some of the content completely free. ie. in our latest Pantheon III you get 20 Combinators from the full-version with no differences at all. With some of our sample-based products we trim down the samples so the demo download isn't huge. We'll remove some of the multisamples, so what you hear in the demo will actually sound better in the commercial version.
