Do you have knobman crashing easily?

I tend to use the slider to see the animation a lot and it might be related to it. Help

I had it crash (or actually hang) recently a couple of times when using the preview slider a lot when the right-click-draggable preview was active.

I always thought i was crap with designing and drawing but it seems like doing GUI's is going ok Smile SkinMan and KnobMan are two great programs! If only KnobMan didn't crash so often :p

what if you slide through the animation fast back and forth or change values the same way?

it doesnt crash to desktop but an invisible error window pops up (i think .. cant see it, but i hear "ding" if i try to click somewhere, but if i press esc it goes away, until i click somewhere else again)
only way to kill it is via task manager. I think though that sometimes you can save your work .. but not sure if it actually saves (i save quite often now as you could have guessed ^^)

Hey guys - these skinman/knobman threads are getting waaaay to long arent they?
It's too bad there's not too many sub forum structures available here on KVR.
There's a plethora of info in these threads - but it get's buried fast.

It would have been nice if there was:
Post you sin
post your knob
bugs/issues
tutorials/help
Maybe I'm just not used to KVR's forum. OR maybe there just won't be enough activity for a subforum or a separate website altogether. Just thinking out loud here...Anyways - keen to hear your toughts. I'm just getting starting with ui's and demystifying it is a lot harder than less obscure practices Wink

A "GUI" specific forum has been suggested/requested a number of times, but the interest/participation level has taking its time - building-up, to what it is NOW.

The availability of synths/effects that are re-skinnable for example, is a relatively new phenomena, prompted by many user requests.

Perhaps the interest level now, will prompt Ben to reconsider.

I'd definitely be interested in such a sub forum Smile

Well seeing the fast replies there seems to be enough ammo to ask for a sub forum!

An extension exception (.knob etc) for the upload would be a must! (especially for archiving purposes, since so many good resources are offline/trashed atm)
