[update] ok i think whats happening is that all keys after the 1st key is pushed and is held down, will sound with the same velocity level. not sure if this is just how a monophonic synth is supposed to be, if so... no problem. but it would be nice to have the following key pressed play the new velocity even while the previous key is pressed... does this make any sense? ---- -L ------------------------------------------- "How am I gonna get a scar like that eating pizza?" ~ Tony Montana's kid brother |

but it would be nice to have the following key pressed play the new velocity even while the previous key is pressed... does this make any sense? Honestly, i don't have any idea of how it's supposed to be. My way it simply works, although we lose some expressiveness. Changing the amplitude in the middle of a legato can be a bit problematic. For one thing the amplitude change cannot be instantaneous, because that would sound like a crack or pop. On the other end, if the amplitude slope is slower than the pitch slope, the result may sound awkward because for example playing the next note one octave higher with significantly less velocity makes the higher note sound loud for a short period before the amplitude adjustment kicks in. Of course a sufficiently skilled keyboard wizard would have no problem with this but... I can think of two ways to overcome these problems. Perhaps the amplitude slope should be so slow that it would give us some expression but would still avoid the above problems. On the other hand we could force the pitch slope to play along with the amplitude or maybe even delay the pitch change a bit. But as i said, i really don't know, i'm just thinking out loud because it's a very interesting question you asked there. |

Hey, that's wonderful, nice bank, great sounds! I like many of the presets very much. You have many short kind of percussive sounds. Those are always very useful. How would you feel about uploading the bank to the KVR banks & patches: http://www.kvraudio.com/banks.php?s=list&what=5187 It would be much easier for others to find it there, as this thread will eventually get buried. Thanks Alv Faria! |

Thanks Alv Faria! I'm planning to launch a blog dedicated to offer .FXB files. But, I can upload this bank to KVR too. No problem. And, if you want, you can share this bank on the Kairatune's oficial website too! And thank you for having tested my presets! I'm glad you liked it! |
