How does Guitar Rig 5 compare to Amplitube 3 as far as how many instances you can use in a project and or CPU/Ram usage between the two and all that jazz?

I can not say for sure but i would have a guess that GR5 would be less resource intensive than AT3. I am sure someone/somebodies with both will be able to tell you for sure

I only have Amplitube 3 free. But a quick comparison of similar setups shows Guitar Rig 5 takes more cpu. High quality mode 13% vs 20%, low quality mode 6% vs. 12%.

It all depends what effects and devices you have loaded in each but basic comparable amp setups will use pretty comparable CPU in both, sometimes less in guitar rig. Guitar rig uses much less ram though, like a third.

Guitar Rig uses about 3-4% on a standard guitar preset (1 amp 1 cab, a few stompboxes) on low quality, about 5-7% when I enable hi quality. Core2duo. Not sure about that other one... I can guarantee it uses more RAM though if the threads on KVR are any indication lmfao....
Has anybody ever really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

As far as RAM usage, Amplitube as I recall is a real hog at around 300 mb. Guitar rig is a bit above 100. Personally, I usually find more use for Amplitube, but I try to use the packs like Metal as they come in at about 50 mb and respond nice and quick on loading, without instance count problems. Of course, Amplitube has more possibilities.

AT3.7 takes less cpu in general, but more ram. This is with HI res for both.

If there is something specific I can do as a comparison let me know.
