Anyone use Reason 6 rewired into your host? Wondering if it is possible to use the Reason audio effects but record on the daws tracks? never really use rewire atm..

It looks like Studio One 2 works really well with rewire here.

I am thinking this is possible with some sort or Routing? maybe with spider?

You can only record MIDI in the host and do this, then use Reason's instruments. Then you can apply effects in Reason and route the audio back to your DAW.

Yes you can use asio4all rewuschel and the rebirth input machine.

Is there any step by step for doing this anywhere on the web

any details?

Not sure if it's possible via ReWire, but if you have Reaper you can use ReaRoute to send audio through Reason's effects.

There's a how-to here:

5, 4, 3, ..

Post

1. install asio4all
2. start your host
3. start reason
4. insert rebirth input machine (anything routed to this will be from the input in your host)
5. in your host set it to use asio4all and rewuschel audio output

that's what i've done before, there may be a step missing somewhere, but that's the gist.

this is cool. thanks for sharing. this looks similar to the rewuschel idea. a virtual audio input/output.
