Sean or anyone...was messing around with the pre-Delay on the UAD EMT140 whilst playing a sequence through it
I had the pre-delay set to 50 and moved it to 100 - it created a kind of chord sound in the background, i assume this is some sort of pitch shifting??? How is the pre-delay doing this???
I tried the plate presets in VRoom but it gives more of a "boom" sound, im assuming this is because of the chamber algorithm?
Thanks
sample here http://soundcloud.com/superistic/emt140-sample - i move the predelay setting at the end of every 2nd bar, you should be able to hear it

My guess is that the predelay in the UA EMT140 is interpolated and smoothed. The ValhallaRoom predelay isn't interpolated or smoothed, in order to save cycles. ValhallaShimmer and ValhallaÜberMod interpolate and smooth pretty much everything.

ok i see, anyway it was completely accidental on my part and i thought it sounded nice
I assume that kind of stuff is Shimmer's forte? (i will buy it some day to complete the collection )
