Maybe it works if you open xt as a plugin in another host
then it wont be able to load external plugins i think Is this XT 1? ie, not XT2? If it's the latter i could try to open it and save the midi for you. ---- Mulab-MUX-Diversion-TX16Wx-SKNOTE-Charlatan-Valhalla-GordonSmith-YamahaTHR10-Trackspacer-TheDrop/Glue-Drumaxx-VOS-DC8C [i5 2500K @ 4,3GHz] [8Gb DDR3] [200Gb+ SSD][M-Audio Delta 24/96 PCI] |

It might be possible to fix the file in a hex editor, or at least get the midi from it if it's still intact. Post the file if you like and I'll try it... |

i haven't used it in eXT 1, only 2.
i removed modal.dll from my vst folder and tried to load your song file again, when it gets to spicyguitar it spawns a broken window about 100 pixels square. have you used that plugin in other files? that could be your dude if piz knows his way around .ext files by hex well enough, maybe he could try pulling that instrument and see if the file loads then. |

I sent a PM with a link to the repaired file. The problem was with Poise... I removed that and the file loaded fine. The hard (but fun) part was figuring out how to delete a VST from the .ext file. |

So let me get this straight, piz - you edited the .ext file into a hex editor and removed the loading of a .dll? I'm impressed. Want to give any hints on how you went about that? SWTrex ---- "Sometimes I think of Abraham... How one star he saw had been lit for me" |

SWTrex Well, he'd have to flash your memory afterwards.. ---- Mulab-MUX-Diversion-TX16Wx-SKNOTE-Charlatan-Valhalla-GordonSmith-YamahaTHR10-Trackspacer-TheDrop/Glue-Drumaxx-VOS-DC8C [i5 2500K @ 4,3GHz] [8Gb DDR3] [200Gb+ SSD][M-Audio Delta 24/96 PCI] |
