spacedad wrote: thanks for the update, though now when i click on the pads there is no release, even if i turn release full. i'm sure it wasn't like that yesterday. Thanks Spacedata. Do you mean release as in the amplitude envelope release? If so, it's been like that for a while now. Trigger with MIDI and the pad will play with the release. |

It will when triggered with MIDI but not with the mouse. I made the change because using long samples in Poise is annoying when the sample will ring out for one or two bars. |

(if you don't mind me asking)well,i drop samples onto pads then click the pads to test the toms/cymbals etc to see if they sound nice together. i know i could make a midi pattern or use a keyboard, but i don't use keyboards much and you'd still have to take time to learn which pad was on which note. so i guess it's just easier to use the mouse. |

Ok, that makes sense, I can see why you would like the pads to ring out. Thanks for explaining Spacedad. Just thinking about it quickly now, I still favour leaving the pad behaviour as is however. There are a few people using loops in Poise, and loops become really annoying when they ring out everytime a pad is clicked. |

so couldn't people just choose looping pads as midi note? does that make sense? I agree with spacedad on this, but it's just one small annoyance. Poise is still my drum vst of choice. |

Poise Updated To 1.1.19
Hotkey support has been modified in this update to be better compatible with more VST hosts. A few bug fixes have been included as well. Quote: Changes:
Bug Fix: MIDI learn configuration wasn't being saved. Bug Fix: "Reload Samples" command wasn't working correctly. Bug Fix: "Choose Sample Editor" command would cause an access violation error. Bug Fix: Previously locked pads would be overwritten when slcing and importing a loop. Now the locked pad data is not overwritten. Bug Fix: ProTools - Outputs are now fixed to 16 stereo outs. Change: Modified the Hotkey method. Previously hotkeys were being captured in Reaper when Poise wasn't in focus. The new method hasn't been tested in all hosts. Change: "Poise Data.xml" can now use a relative path to locate the data folder. Change: Default output count option is not shown in hosts that don't support output configuration changes. Change: Hotkeys now work in Orion. |
