Awesome! I almost thought my old burned SNES recovered, hid behind my notebook and wanted my attention :hihi:

Figured I'd mention my favorite chiptune plugin: http://www.plogue.com/products/chipsounds/

Really a true powerhouse and rewards patient programming. I'll be making a soundset for Chipsounds for sure.

chipsound absolutely kicks ass! I bought yours so I can use the 8 macro knobs. I haven't had a chance to use them yet, but if they sound like your others there will be some jems inside :)

Wow. And just purchased.

Nice! I have wanted the Plogue synth for a long time, but your sound set may be the next best thing. Plus the price is incredibly reasonable. Buying on the merit of your demo :)

just purchased this and a couple more I keep forgetting to get from you. Great stuff!

Thanks,

C

EDIT: Already received the sound sets I just purchased! Nice - Thanks

I've purchased a couple other Massive packs recently, Massive Spheres and the Age of Transitions pack, and no problems there, but I can't seem get this bank to load or be seen by Massive. I'm on a Mac/Lion with the latest version (1.3.0) of Massive, and the service center app shows no updates. I put the NMSV presets folder into the Massive sounds folder (along with all of my other user and third-party sounds), but Massive just isn't seeing it at all. Tried rebuilding the dbase multiple times, no luck.

I even tried batch-convert the KSD sounds and still nothing. Anybody have a hint or clue or something to try?

ok, just got it, quick review:

-50 patches in a variety of styles
-they actually sound great, not 'sort of' like the real thing, but actually like the real thing. Very nice. (ok so maybe to a chiptune connoisseur not a 100% match, but they sound damn good. I'm calling it at least a 98% match :P).
-The patches names for a specific game actually sound like that game (this is not always the case for some instruments I have tried)

Thanks for the intro pricing!

Two suggestions for the developer:

-in my browser, the picture for the bank is kinda small on your product page (firefox). I mean the one with the ships blowing up Massive. IMO this should be bigger since it is such an awesome pic. Might just be my browser.

-I was a little confused on the delivery. It was incredibly fast, so I am not complaining. However I did not see anywhere that it had to be manually delivered, so I was clicking around thinking that I had missed something. Usually when I buy something like this with paypal, I get automatically redirected to a DL page or something. I suggest you put a note explaining that there may be a delay in delivery somewhere on the checkout screen before payment is made so that people know what to expect. I believe that most people will not mind waiting a reasonable time to get their DL.

Excellent, can't wait... (Don't forget us old Amstrad users btw who get misty eyed at the sound of an AY-3-8910) :)

Sound programming in Chipsounds will get a whole lot more pleasurable once 2.0 comes out (whenever that'll be... I've been waiting aaaages!). At the moment, the instrument step editor is such a pain to use that I'd rather do most of my sound design with midi CC's

2.0 promises better SID emulation, full chip voicing/emulation and note stealing (this is a really essential part of the chiptune sounds that's hard to get in most software), and a better step editor (a way to automatically create sweeps without manually entering EVERY SINGLE FRIGGING VALUE is sorely needed!).

They're also promising more sound chips and possibly even a few ideas I threw their way (an Amiga-resolution version of the Nintendo Wave channel with more transformation functions).

Excellent demo. I've just bought it. Probably worth buying Massive just for this bank (well almost...)

@Phase47: I just now officially updated the soundset and emailed you the file. The new version includes the metadata for all the sounds - a glaring omission I should not have missed. I just got your last email to me and believe this should fix the problem based on what you described in that email :).

@Panphobia: Thank you for the compliment :). I took your advice and updated the zip file with the full size original picture. If you want it, simply email me and I will send you the updated zip file, which now also has the patches themeslves updated with metadata for easier browsing (on both formats). As for your other advice, I'll look into that..so there's a way I can make a special notice when people check out in Paypal? I didn't know that, so that would help quite a lot :).

@munchkin: Thanks, man :). I didn't always see Massive as a good VGM/Chiptune synth, but more time spent learning it proved otherwise.

I'm glad you took the time re: Massive, because these sounds are simply amazing. Can't want to see what you do next.
