Hi folks, first time for me here in the Music Cafe!

Working outside my comfort zone with this subject, particularly so as I've gone for a folky number which is very unlike my usual output. When I think 'happy' I invariably think of people jumping around, whooping and yee-hawing to some traditional style tune, everyone having a real good time

February happens to be carnival month, so for the theme this time I thought it was very appropriate to have a song inspired on the biggest party on Earth. Let me share with you:

Tempo De Carnaval


This month I will be imposing on you once again my singing voice... and this time in Portuguese! If Portuguese happens to be your mother tongue, I apologize in advance for any butchering I may have committed to your language. It's just that the song didn't sound quite right in any of the languages I do speak (English or Spanish). As I told oddbod a few months ago, samba only sounds right in Portuguese .

So, I hope you'll feel at least like tapping your big toe a little bit when you listen to the song.
