Hello all, is it possible to search 'by category' in Halion that comes with Cubase 6? All it displays is one long list when I look for a patch, no good if you are looking for a particular sound quickly.

Cheers.

The long list does have categories. If you can't see them, either spread the window to right or else you need to enable the category display in MediaBay settings.

Yes cheers, had a quick look in the media browser, pushed for time today, not sure how to enable category view, but did find something similar in the sound browser also. I'll have a look tomorrow.

Thanks again.

In the patch selection list click on the window layout icon in the bottom left (Shift+F2 brings it up as well), tick the box labelled 'Filters' and it should all change to the category view searchable by instrument, attributes etc
