Vote for your top 10 favorite compositions, in order (most-favorite = #1, proceed downward).
Voting ends on early a.m. (US Central Time), Thursday, March 1. No voting for yourself. Voters must have had 20 prior posts, or at least have participated in the contest this month. Once you place your vote, you cannot change it, unless permission has been granted by the moderator. In the case of equal scores after voting, entries will be separated by how many 10 pts (i.e., how many #1 votes) they got, then 9 pts and so on. (Thanks to OSC for this rule.) You must participate in voting to win prizes! A useful link: http://kvrcontest.farlukar.cz.cc/ Thanks and good luck. Last edited by D.H. Miltz on Thu Mar 01, 2012 3:42 am; edited 1 time in total |

going through my 4 pages of notes - really mad me happy to listen to all the entrys this month. Delightful !
Couple of similarities in styles and instrument choices that I find interesting, as well . . . 1. Peterhud - great harmony & turns - didn't know where you were going a couple of times 2. Emerald Tablet - love how this tune begins & then develops 3. evo2slo - very cool tune 4. kyrptonaut - made me dance 5. Laguna Rising - reminded me of Todd Rundgren 6. robojam - sounds like the discovery of life 7. shrikant - really like the feel of this; where it took me 8. knockman - admire your bitter lyrics - great 9. Doc Jon - cool & folky 10. offthewall - nicely done peace ---- an expert on what it feels like to be me & you are who you google http://soundcloud.com/mrnatural-1 Last edited by Mister Natural on Mon Feb 27, 2012 7:22 am; edited 1 time in total |

1. Peterhud - Everything's Just Ducky
just utterly enjoyable; well done 2. knockman - Happy I'm so happy that you finally decided to post this. Great and delectable on so many levels. 3. Emerald Tablet - Simply your singing : yummy as always; the minimal, subtle arrangement is a model that I just have/want/need to follow, although I already know that I'll fail. Bitter sweet taste of happiness here. 4. offthewall - ThingThatMakesYouHappy I dig the style and the lyrics. 5. Gmoney - Tempo De Carnaval good use of the theme, agreeable, fun. 6. Doc Jon - HighlandStomp convincing feeling, top notch production, I can see the the drunk fishermen having some good time in a smoky bar. 7. kryptonaut - Beltane Dance a more abstract rendition of the same kind of folkloric happiness; a bit too 'focused' / tense to perfectly express happiness, tho. 8. robojam - Formation of a Diffuse Nebula I like the way you treated the theme. Clever and convincing. 9. nikp2000 - snappy joe deserves a thumb up for the good playing and great mood. 10. beanpole - Happy Honey Bee very good, production-wise. Vocals sometimes sound like slightly out of tune - willingly? I cannot tell (but who am I to criticize this?). Almost made it: gorgorgathgorgorgor - Happiness - great hook, great vocals, a bit disturbing. evo2slo - Dandelion Wine - another great tune; I cannot really feel the happiness in there, tho. Beardedone - BossaHappy - gorgeous guitar playing; the drums are a bit overdone for my taste. |

Hard to judge, as ever - in the end I had to go for the ones that made me smile the most, for whatever reason. Great to hear so many different interpretations of the theme!
