I just came across this aswell. They are looking to incorporate MuseScore to take care of the score handling tasks.
I have to admit that it looks very impressive for a free DAW! Hoping this will make it to Windows 64bit! |

We are looking to work with the muse score team to create a live sync. We would like to have a way to be able to easily pass data back and forth between programs on the fly. Some more planning is needed but that is the idea. Thanks! ---- Open Source (Free) Orchestral Composing and Film Scoring Software for Linux. Integration with MuseScore would be a very cool feature! I use MuseScore very regularly and miss being able to record parts into it in realtime. Also Open Octave looks like it could be a great DAW in its own right. I love the look and layout from the screencaps and hope to be able to try this on Windows at some point.
Any ideas as to when the Windows version will be available? Oh and many thanks for making this for free!! |

nice idea.
I don't like pledging on a flexible spending campaign. i feel safer with a fixed campaign. I wonder how many feel the same way? dw |

Flexible or not we will still finish our goal. This fundraising is just to offset the fact that we have been working on this stuff for 6 years and could use a bit of help from the users.
My Wife Wendy needs tools, well really video tracks and surround sound mixing. For once I have to 100% agree with you, I wouldn't give those people a single cent. |

Looks nice. Best of luck with it. If I may offer some hopefully constructive comments...
I watched some of the YouTubes and it looks pretty cool. The custom view part being in a seperate window is (I hope) not the only method of doing that. If there's one thing that's probably true these days it's probably that the fewer "necessary" additional windows the better, so I would (if not the case already somehow, and it may be, dunno) make sure there is a way to create "custom views" without opening that secondary window. I'd hate to see you guys fall into some methodologies that are generally being phased out. Brand new product so you have the chance to improve some of that. Good stuff. Much success to you. |

Yes and No, it is a dockable item in a splitter to the main window. By default it runs in the side of the main app, but can separate to another window. Custom Views is part of the main Composer Window and is also available in the Mixer as a separate way to control the views in the mixer. Thanks for your comments, we have always developed our application based on direct feedback and involve our community along the way.
