A very lovely interface but I've never really seen much point in tape warming effects and I'm not sure what I'd use distortion for tbh either. I wish they would develop something more creative. ---- My free patches here http://fingermarks.co.uk/music2.htm My Soundcloud page: http://soundcloud.com/amused ![]() |

This is sounding like it will take the #2 spot from Kombinat for me. re_mute wrote: Plus a Mix option to subtly add
No mix knob in host!? I would fukking quit! Phew, thank god I didn't whine about how difficult Ohmicide is to use. OhmForce really have the worst UIs in the plug in world. Oh, well that fits my budget quite well. I will take two I suppose. If they match. Yeah, with Ohmicide I whine cuz its actually a case where I think the instrument as a whole would be improved with a different GUI. I give em a pass though. Sypmtohms new skin is the best skin ever. Not exactly the 'clean' utilitarian look that FF has perfected, but enjoyable imo. |

I use Ohmicide for the Melohman feature. I love being able to set 12 patches and morph between them with an octave of keys. Such a powerful feature. I don't have a problem with the GUI. Maybe it's a bit small but all the controls are pretty clear to me.
I haven't come across many multi-band distortion units with modulation... let alone modulation as deep as what FabFilter provide. I'm looking foward to this. ...but I don't think it will replace Ohmicide for me. |

Another Ohmicide user here .. Been using it for more than 2 years now.. as much as I did like it, I'm looking for a better replacement since it feels kinda abandoned now + some other stuff... The FabFilter Saturn looks like it... I just hope that it's price won't be anything close to the other Fab Pro stuff I bet that even Waves (dongle free with the v9 ? iirc ) once they release something like this, they may offer a better price these days... so there! Am I the only one that's slightly annoyed by that guy's "cool" accent? (FabFilter videos) |

Guys, they are from Netherlands. If you don't like this accent, then next time they will make video with their native language in it |

So, what you are saying is, nobody knows the price? |

If someone knows the price, they haven't said so. If I had to guess, I'd say that it will be $149, like Volcano2 and Timeless2, with a nice discount for people who own other FF products.
If it were going to be more, they probably would have named it Pro-S or Pro-D. Last edited by justin3am on Tue Mar 06, 2012 3:50 pm; edited 1 time in total |

That guy is Dan Worrall (who posted earlier in the thread) and his tutorials are some of the BEST I've ever seen. I wish he'd do a full tutorial series. http://www.platinumears.com/tutorials.html He's done a bunch for Fabfilter and Vengenace. I think he sounds great in the videos - wish more people had that elocution, especially these days. |

Wasn't annoyed even the slightest, in fact....I found the presentation quite enjoyable. I'm only annoyed because I don't know the price ![]() |

lmfao Dan is indeed the man. And that strange and unusual accent is indeed English. You know, what everybody was going to be speaking by 2050 before the Chinese happened. |
