It's with great proud that I present my first commercial sound library called Dusty Eclectic Goldmine Vol.1. Here's the official presentation text:
Quote: Dusty Eclectic Goldmine is a collection of sounds consisting mainly of breakbeat loops. The focus is on dirty, lofi sounds that would fit well into a mix of Boards of Canada & Aphex Twin tracks. The collection also include a dialogue folder full of sound clips from vintage advertising & educational movies. Those public domain cuts have been selected to be usefull for anyone seeking worthwhile sound bites to put in their mix. They have been sampled with Ninja Tune records & early 1990 IDM in mind. The rest of the collection consist of inspiring music loops as well as FXs, one shots, field recordings & vinyl crackles. I hope you'll enjoy this collection. While designing the sounds, I had in mind to put up a sound library similar to the good old e-Lab X-Static Goldmine libraries. Don't hesitate to chop, remix & re-arrange the loops & sounds to your taste! It is by no mean a string the dots/construction kit type of library. It is meant to be sampled & chop in a creative way. The wav files works well in Sony MediaSoftwares Acid music production software as well as any other softwares that loads 24 bits wav files.
Library's content: (69) Breakbeats (39) Dialogues (19) Field Recordings (05) FX Loops (29) Music Loops (22) One Shots (17) Winyl Crackles Total: 200 samples Price: 5$ Audio Demos: http://soundcloud.com/samplesciencemtl/sets/dusty-eclectic-g oldmine-vol-1/ The library is available in 24bits Acid wav files or REX2: http://samplescience.tradebit.com/files.php/6021-Sounds-MIDI -Loops I think the price is fair enough judging by the quality of the samples & the amount of work it took to create the library. Let me know what you think of it & for those who will buy the library contact me if there's anything wrong with the sound files, my email adress is samplesciencemtl@hotmail.com Cheers!!! EDIT: The library is now available at Sampleism: http://www.sampleism.com/samplescience Good for UK citizens! Last edited by SampleScience on Mon Mar 05, 2012 10:14 am; edited 1 time in total |

The sources have been confirmed & assured to be public domain. Most of the music & beat stuff have been recorded by me in my studio. Hope that clears things out! |

I'm wondering if there would be any interest in a Mixman TRK format version of Dusty Eclectic? The Mixman software is now compatible with Windows Vista & Windows 7, you can even get it free for a limited time, but there's also a free version available:
http://www.mixman.com Otherwise, after March 21 the full version will be 10$, quite cheap! |

Good stuff. I like all the music on your site too. Have you ever thought about making any kits (and patterns) for Maschine? ---- How comes the thread always dies after I post? |

Since this project is becoming a success, I'm thinking about all the possibilities. Unfortunatly, I don't have Maschine & to be honest I thought about buying Reason to be able to make ReFill. I think this is a very popular software package along with FL Studio & Ableton Live. But I'll take it in consideration. This looks like a XXI century MPC2000! |

Bought today as soon as I got the mail from Sampleism.
Love Boards of Canada and this sound set captures alot of that vibe. Some great drones and crunchy beats. Good stuff. |

I'm preparing a small bonus pack for those who bought the REX2 version of the library. It will be the REX2 version of my previous free pack called OriginalBreakbeatPack (check rekkerd.org for the free download of the WAV version of this library).
In fact, I think I'll upgrade the OriginalBreakbeatPack as a 24-bits Acid Wavs & REX2 library, all of this for free for those who bought Dusty Eclectic Goldmine. This summer will see the advent of Breakbeat Nation Vol.1, my giant new & old school breakbeat library. It will probably be available in all the format you can think of! |

The soundlib is now available in 16 bits aiff, the acid wavs are now all ready to load in SliceX & the Fruity Slicer (each slice is marked with a marker, loop points were added to the breakbeats & music loops).
http://samplescience.tradebit.com/files.php/6021-Sounds-MIDI -Loops The aiff are only available on the Tradebit site, unfortunatly there's no more room left on my Sampleism account! You can still get the acid wavs/slicex version on Sampleism thought. |
