Demo is also updated too!
Como, lol that's what it did before the direct outs! I think I'll just leave it as it is for now, the thing is that all the different routing combinations would be quite a bit of work to optimize fully, and you can achieve it fairly easily already in the host by creating a group and sending to it. I think this one is just about there, let me know if you notice anything. I'm having tonight off |

I said I wouldn't quibble with where Vortex is in its development ... but I will quibble with this statement. You only had 3 or 4 busses other than the main ... so before you couldn't track each individual output. You can now, and I'm glad. So, what I asked/ proposed wasn't exactly how it was before. Como PS I am going to post a little 'coming to grips' with Vortex. I put this on the Cubase forum after someone said they were confused about the interface. Since I already did it, I thought it might be helpful to those just starting to take a look. Como ---- Help! I've fallen up and can't get down! Win7 x64 Dual Dualcore Xeon 3.0 Ghz 16 GB Ram. I'm still wishing, particularly when sequencing drums/ percussion, that there was some keystroke combo that would let me mouse click on a grid ... with or without note entered ... and trigger the note belonging to that grid right from the sequencer page. It would be very handy for arranging. Como ---- Help! I've fallen up and can't get down! Win7 x64 Dual Dualcore Xeon 3.0 Ghz 16 GB Ram. Hmmmmm ... beta33 Master Volume doesn't seem to be working and maybe the FX mix too?
Other apparent bugs on the 'Advanced' page. The pitch retrigger activation colors are yellow and hard to see. On the sequencer bypass and hold bypass keyboards the lowest key that you can activate is F3. Como ---- Help! I've fallen up and can't get down! Win7 x64 Dual Dualcore Xeon 3.0 Ghz 16 GB Ram. I'm still unsure about what it would gain, couldn't you just set up a template using groups in cubase to do the same thing? Quote: PS I am going to post a little 'coming to grips' with Vortex. It's working here, is this an old project or a fresh one? You do know that they don't work with direct outs, only on the internal FX channels? I made them yellow to tie in with the yellow on the display keyboard, you can't see them? oops forgot to move them along, the controls are still in the old location, fixed in the next version ta! |

I'll add something in 1.1, it's quite a bit of work I reckon, I'll have a look this afternoon and assess what needs to be done. |

I'll double check ... but, it well have could been all set to direct outs. Astralp wrote: I made them yellow to tie in with the yellow on the display keyboard, you can't see them?
No, not very well ... not enough contrast. I'm fine with the red, as it is so easy to easily see ... but anything with more contrast would work. Como ---- Help! I've fallen up and can't get down! I'll add something in 1.1, it's quite a bit of work I reckon, I'll have a look this afternoon and assess what needs to be done. As long as you see the value of the concept and it's on the development 'road map,' I'm happy. It's probably another philosophic conflict between your 'random inspiration' and my anal retentive control desires. But I really do think it would be a powerful feature many people would find useful. To amplify a bit, it would be great if when you triggered a note that was in the grid (as opposed to just a blank space while you were deciding on a sound in a drum/ perc kit), the note triggered according to the sequencer rules of tempo, ties, etc. BTW ... when I went into the available parameters with my Automap software, I no longer could find an addressable parameter for 'Hold.' Pitch Hold, was there, but not regular Hold. I found most of the other global controls for easy mapping. Also the Channel A 1-12 parameters to select CC 1 for the Midi Mixer channels was missing, although Channel B and the Mode settings for both A and B were there. Como ---- Help! Como, you'll be happy to know I've managed to add note preview, you can use the ALT key or Caps Lock to switch it on, it turned out to be not too big a job in the end I'll check out the other stuff now. |

Ok, fixed the Automation stuff.
The Preview actually plays whilst the mouse is held down which I think is more useful, dragging up and down also triggers notes as you pass over them. Anyway have a play, I'll get this version out in the next 10 mins. |

///// BETA 34
* Fixed the SEQ/Hold bypass being too far to the right. * Added ALT Click preview for notes. You can also use Caps Lock for extended use to save having to hold down the ALT Key. * Hold Automation Added. * CCA Automation Added. The manual is being added to the Start Menu but it's installing to the root area at the top/left for some reason, I'll look into that for the next release... |

aNDY,
iDRAGGED MY SELF A WAY FROM WORK FOR A BIT JUST TO CHECK OUT THE AUDITION. Oops! I'm all in caps from setting the Caps Lock to do so. It is absolutely fantastic! BTW I'm not understanding the use of 'No Pitch' and 'Solo Off' underneath the 'Squas2Scale' keyboard on the sequener pages? Couple of comments on the parameters. Thanks for reinstituting the CC Channel A and the Hold. I see 'Midi Bypass 1,' etc. to mute a channel in the Midi Mixer, but I can't find any parameter to solo a sequencer channel on the MidiMixer page? The list of addressable parameters I can see from Automap ends with "Velocity Mod" ... the last letters on that column are not readable ... i. e., off the screen. But since over 720 parameters are displayed across my two monitors, can't expect much more! I don't know how other software does it, but Automap 3 reads the parameters in alphabetical order. This results in the main global parameters being all over the place in the list. Again, I have no idea if this is a major or trivial issue, but for mapping, I wish all the global parameters had a prefix, say, 'GLB,' and similarly for the ones on the Advanced page, 'ADV,' so they could be nested together in the parameter list for easy identification. Andy ... a lot of the scales don't seem right. I think I clicked Minor 7th and got only the C, D, E and F scale activated with the red indicators.
I didn't have a chance to record the midi and see whether the indicator lights are off, but the output is correct ... or whether the indicators accurately reflect the output, which seems wrong for the selected scale.
