I tried loading the Dubtron demo and Metatron VSTis into Live 8.2 on Windows 7 64Bit, and I get a ton of module not found errors from the DLL. Please advise. Thanks. |

This issue comes up now and again with Ableton Live. I had this issue with certain Synthedit plugins and eventually found an easy fix. Fist off, to explain the nature of Synthedit plugins, when they are loaded for the first time into a host, a module folder automatically gets self-generated. This folder remains there next to the dll file and is a natural accompaniment for loading Synthedit plugins. But for some reason, Ableton doesnt always allow the folder to be self-generated and then it complains that it can't find the modules. At least that's what seems to be happening. The fix I discovered was to simply copy the module folder from a different host into Ableton's plugin folder, right beside the dll where it should be. After I did that I had no problems. So what I'm gonna do is provide links to the two module folders in question.
Dubtron: http://www.psychicmodulation.com/module_folders/Dubtron.zip Metatron: http://www.psychicmodulation.com/module_folders/Metatron.zip Simply unzip the file, and copy the folder into your plugin directory right beside the plugin it belongs to. Make sure you copy the folder itself, not just the files in the folder. Example: Dubtron.dll and Dubtron(module folder) should be in the same directory. If you have any other plugins you need files for or this doesnt work for some reason, let me know and I'll be happy to help. |
