Yikes. Four years without even a minor update. I don't want to see the Tracktion developers' thumbs. I'm pretty sure I know where they've been. ---- I'm not your dog, so watch your language! |

I'm moving on for studio work.
Reaper is looking inviting, although the workflow still sucks. But the crashes at high (over 1gb) memory usage really mess with big projects here in T3. |

Yep, with how cheap memory is, it's difficult to forgo the advantages of large blocks of memory. I recently upgraded to 16 gigs and finally committed myself to running a 64 bit host full time (in my case Reaper)... and everything is much more stable when using massive memory hogs like Ocean Way Drums, etc. |

luckily i was able to copy most of my work-flow over to Reaper (swore i would never be a Reaper Guy)
i used to use XT for midi production & T3 for Audio stuff after a LONG time of playing with Reaper, asking Questions on the Reaper Forum (& still 'working' with what i knew as i learned Reaper, witch was XT & T3) i was able to port my hole workflow of both hosts to 1 DAW of course its no way as simple to use as Tracktion! Tracktion was on to a good thing! but now i have progressed in skills & knowledge & if Tracktion had of updated i may not be where i'm at! i feel for the users! not a word for 4 years? i was on the Beta team & we did not get told a thing also! the beta forum just vanished after a few years i'm a little bit piffed as i defended mackie when many users where giving mackie a hard time, little did i know they where right! Subz Hey subz, do you have a menu layout set or advice for people switching to reaper? |

Hmmm, most my production Workflow was from XT, Tracktion was my recording host, i just took my time asking on the forum how to port that stuff i wanted over, Ctrl+T i have setup to add a new track & "G" adds a clip same as i had it set in T3 & i found Abort & Restart Replacement in the SWS Actions with Reaper you have to go quite deep to make it how you want it has Soo many options for me i just asked everything on the forums & was patient (& kept working in my current hosts) Reaper is still very far from T3 in its simplistic but powerful UI Subz |

Even just using 'R' for record and 'M' to loop a clip went a long way towards making Reaper feel a bit more like home.

You mean there are still people who're using (or just care about) Tracktion???
Why on earth would someone do that? What's next, wondering when the new update of Voyetra Digital Orchestrator will arrive? |

But their implementation of VST folders is still a bit awful. Their whole gui handling of plugins needs a re-write. What exactly does Reamenu do for you. Is it different from just being able to customize the existing menus? |

Look at the page.
It's a reorganisation (well, actually an Organisation, since the default menus aren't at all organised). |
