Very, very cool piece of music. Great feel, lovely piano touch and sounds, and vaguely disconcerting kunks and blarts in subversive support.

And then right at the end, like it's almost an afterthought (oh, by the way, there's this bit too...) a quite beautiful flutey melodic line, which doesn't last anywhere near long enough... You crafty devil you 8)

Lovely work, Matt. The pacing on here is terrfic. I love the way that this slowly builds up, but it's so subtle. Lovely piano sounds on here, and there is a synth or reversed guitar sound that comes in at about 2:28 that is just great. Mike is right about that ending too.

This is wonderful. I think this has to go straight onto the Zune :tu:

Thanks a lot Mike + Tim!

Tim - That reversed sound is a pitch-shifted, reversed and heavily effected variation of the woodwind pattern you hear shortly after.

very nice and laid back. i love the 'kunks and blarts' (perfectly described :)) and the way the whole thing hangs together with a certain elegance... beautiful. this is going on the ipod and i'm going in the garden to catch some early spring sun.

I like it a lot.
fantastic these extreme panned swooshes / effects
what did you use for these?

When the chordchanges came i got really sucked into it
And after listening a 2nd time it really started growing on me
A keeper. Thanks for making this downloadable.

Thank you Neil and Remmie!

Remmie - that's Synplant on the sounds and Panman on the movement.

Nice creation, I see a movie here, right in my head...

Quite groovy in places and some terrific sound design. I bet the dissonant resonances in that lead line near the middle were tough to tame.

Thanks Matt!

Thanks a bunch guys!

Yup, quite right Justin. :)

Interesting, if far removed from what I do. Thankfully we're all different :D
This transcends genres and includes both downtempo beats, atmospheric sound design and ambient music.
No clavinets or groovy funk riffs though

Thanks for the listen and comments K-Bee!
