edit 19th February 2013 :
http://xenakios.wordpress.com/2013/02/19/hourglass-1-3-0-rel eased/ --- For people new to HourGlass, a short description is that it's a granular sample processing stand-alone application for Windows/OS-X. A plugin version is very unlikely to ever happen, as HourGlass is already a fairly complicated application and just doesn't seem to fit into the plugin paradigm too well in my opinion. The old thread is at (but I'd prefer new posts would be done using this new thread) : http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=312598&postday s=0&postorder=asc&start=0 Various Youtube videos of previous and in-progress versions : http://www.youtube.com/user/Xenakios?feature=watch Last edited by Xenakios on Tue Feb 19, 2013 3:05 am; edited 23 times in total |

Thanks for another update! Seems to work fine here in a quick run-through. I like the new envelope-point-generation thing. |

Yes , really a must have, congrats !
I'll follow this for sure, i see the video about fragment time pattern customization is this implemented in this new version and if yes how to show this section..? I've also some vst folder who crash the appz ( I've found now how to edit the ini.file with notepad+ and remove the bad path) is there a way to see which dll/vst cause the problem..? |

1.0.0! One decimal point definitely isn't cool enough for this exceptional instrument.
Congratulations, and thanks. |

The time pattern customization can be made visible from the A button of the Fragment rate and Rate randomization parameters ("Show time distribution". Sorry about the all confused terminology...I have to consolidate all that at some point.) Unfortunately I don't think I've yet done anything to keep track of VST plugins that crash at the scan stage. I am not a heavy plugin collector, so I don't have so many plugins to test with. (I don't think any of the ones I have currently installed crash with HourGlass.) But this is definitely something I have to look into...Would probably be best if I could make the scanning happen in a separate utility program...(That might also eventually advance into actually hosting the plugins in that other process too, for "firewalling" and "bridging" purposes.) |

http://nay-seven.com/beta/NS_Color.zip Thanks, I didn't really expect anyone to ever try changing the style sheets... |

yes, not easy to find by only experimenting, what would be cool is to find the background of envelopes and the their buttons ( when mode = read) , this green...) |

Yeah those are not available to be changed from the style file at the moment. (The "A" button colors when the envelope/MIDI remote states are changed are done by overriding the current style completely for those buttons. The envelope editors are those above mentioned completely custom drawn widgets. I am not sure how much effort would be required to allow changing the colors etc from the style sheet files...Perhaps quite a lot.) |
